Today I greased the port side winch and it was stuffed full of dog hair. I suppose I should clean/grease them more often. Thanks Hooch! It's okay he's worth it!

new to blogging
This is the first blog I have ever written. Not sure how to start, but figured I should be doing something to keep track of and possibly share with others all our experiences living on, working on and cruising in our 30' ketch "Kate".
Today I greased the port side winch and it was stuffed full of dog hair. I suppose I should clean/grease them more often. Thanks Hooch! It's okay he's worth it!
I also tightened the support wires for the bow sprit and later we will sand and paint the outside of the new dingy Zach is building. Also while we have the generator on the beach we plan to cut down the paddle of our windvane, it seems to have way to much power and we hope by shortening the paddle we will decrease the amount of power it generates.
